The Rotor Kapic crank system for XC and Marathon mountain bikes was developed alongside the two gravity cranks Rotor R-Hawk and R-Raptor and shares the innovative and modular design. The Kapic is currently the lightest and stiffest crank system in standard and boost versions for mountain bikes from Rotor and, thanks to direct mount technology, offers the best possible power transfer. Already in the launch season of 2018 numerous professional riders switched to Kapic and managed to clinch their first victories and podium positions.
Even without specialist knowledge and special tools, assembly is completed in minutes and changing the chainring is just as easy. Thanks to the Direct Mount System, in which the rings are mounted directly on the axle without spider, a standard Allen key is all you need. Numerous round chainrings or oval Q rings of rotor offer a broad selection for any terrain.
The direct mount system of Rotor Kapic offers exact adjustment of oval chainrings (OCP) in one-degree increments and hence unrivalled customization to personal requirements. This offers the best possible approach to reach optimal individual pedaling efficiency to the rider. The crank arms of Kapic, which consist of particularly stiff 7055 aluminium alloy, are hollow-drilled and finished with the Trinity Drilling System patented by Rotor and offer an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio.
Rotor Kapic is the perfect choice for XC and marathon bikers demanding a light crank system with no complications, low maintenance and installation requirements and the option to improve pedalling efficiency.
Kapic is of course compatible with other mountain bike groups from Shimano or Sram and offers future-proof technology thanks to direct mount.
